ABDSP Interpretive Activities are Free and Open to the Public. All programs meet in front of the ABDSP Visitor Center unless otherwise stated.

9:00 a.m. Talk – Roving Ranger at Font’s Point       1 Hour
Meet Roving Ranger Steve at Font’s Point to learn and share in some of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park’s extraordinary backcountry locations. We will speak of ancient voices, sift through stories in stone, and seek the wild in wildlife.

10:00 a.m.  Talk -Solve the Desert Water Puzzle: Cart Demonstration    10 Min. ongoing for 2 Hrs
Do you know what it means to “take plenty of water”? Meet Park Interpretive Specialist, Regina Reiter, in front of the Visitor Center to solve The Water Puzzle and learn how to calculate your water needs while you’re visiting Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. You’ll also get some tips on how to locate the Park’s Desert Bighorn Sheep by discovering their watering habits! Stop by for ten minutes to develop your “water aptitude”.

2:00 p.m. Walk - Gifts Under the Trees       1 Hour
Join Regina Reiter, Park Interpretive Specialist, for a free-spirited search for the many delightful surprises that Nature has left under the desert trees in the Visitor Center garden. Awaken your sense of wonder and sharpen your skills of observation in some holiday fun! Meet outside the Visitor Center.
