We will touch on the basics of desert hiking, biking, camping, and overall adventuring with a focus on the benefits of off-trail travel in this wonderful place. From what there is to experience to all the different ways to experience it, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is a great resource for recreationists in Southern California.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Ashley Kvitek is the Education & Outreach Coordinator for Anza-Borrego Foundation, the nonprofit partner of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Ashley has a M.Ed. in Environmental Education, and has been with ABF for three years. In her time there, she has camped, backpacked, and hiked not just for work but also for volunteer projects and fun. She spends a great deal of time getting to know her place in the vast landscapes of the desert, and loves nothing more than sharing her appreciation for and lessons learned from California’s largest state park.
