Volunteers, staff and the public are invited.

Suzanne Emery will demonstrate uses of native plants for food, medicine and construction by the Kumeyaay Tribes of San Diego County and Baja California.  For the past 15 years, as a volunteer park ranger, guide and docent, Suzanne has shared her accumulated knowledge with thousands of visitors. The Kumeyaay-Ipai Interpretative Center at Pauwai on Poway Road in Poway, California is an ancient village site.  Learn how indigenous peoples managed resources to thrive and survive in the harsh deserts of Southern California.
