San Diego County Parks, Ramona Trails Association, California State Parks, and Backcountry Horsemen-San Diego Unit are pleased to be sponsoring the third annual Vallecito Days.
Tour the original Vallecito Stage Station, the rest stop for weary travelers on the Southern Overland Trail and the Butterfield Stage. Visit an overland traveler’s camp with demonstrations of outdoor cooking and exhibits of historic firearms and other frontier equipment. See the Army of the West soldiers in camp and the arrival (Saturday, approximately 2 pm) of the overland travelers on horse and mule back.
