Location:
Meet at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park Visitor Center

Instructor: Dennis Mammana
Members $35, Non-members $45

If you enjoy photography and are fascinated by the dramatic desert sky, this full-day workshop is for you!
In the classroom you'll learn how to capture the desert at sunset and dusk, shoot the stars, planets and constellations, create time-lapse and moonlight shots, and more. And then, in the evening (weather permitting, of course), you'll have an opportunity to try your hand at night sky photography from a beautiful moonlit desert location.

Participants should have a working knowledge of their camera (digital or film that can be adjusted manually and can take time exposures), a tripod, a remote control or cable release, and a flashlight covered with red cellophane. Also needed will be lunch and dinner, plenty of water, knee pads and a portable chair for work in the desert. A 4WD vehicle is recommended, but not required. Carpooling will also be available. No rest room facilities will be available in the evening.  Advance registration is required.
