The California State Parks Commission recently approved seven new cultural preserves within ABDSP. Join us on a tour to three of the locations and learn about the important cultural resources and significant history represented in each.
Led by Associate State Archaeologist Sue Wade, the tour includes stops at Hawi-Vallecito, Little Blair Valley and the Southern Overland Trail, along with two moderate-level hikes to explore culturally significant areas.
Meet at the turnout for Blair Valley Campground near the restrooms on Hwy S-2 (Mile Marker 22.9). Wear sturdy walking shoes and bring lunch, water, and sun protection.
