This hike is part of Archaeology Weekend

This field trip will begin with a 10:00 AM PowerPoint presentation at the Visitor Center titled, Yonis: Fact or Fiction. After the lecture, drive 40 miles to the Morteros Indian Village site in Little Blair Valley, to view and discuss morteros, yonis, pictographic rock art, and other archaeological features. The hike is moderate and will take about 1.5 hours.

Please bring water, wear a hat and hiking shoes. Note: One hour drive from Visitor Center, 2 wheel drive; high-clearance vehicles recommended.
