In this all-day four-wheel-drive tour, we will drive through Canyon Sin Nombre, which offers 500 million year-old rocks, dramatic fault features, and vertical-walled slot canyons, then enter Arroyo Tapiado to view and explore some of the longest mud caves in San Diego County. Please bring lunch, a very full tank of gas, a flashlight for each person in your group, plenty of water, and a four-wheel drive high clearance vehicle. There will be 4 or 5 short walks (under 1/2 mile each) over rough terrain and in dark caves. There are no formal restroom facilities, so please come prepared. The trip will be limited to 16 people and car-pooling will be highly encouraged.

"Arroyo Tapiado Mud Caves" is Part two of a 3-part series:
