
Stop in at the 2nd Annual Botany Festival to learn about our native desert plants, their characteristics and uses. Proceeds from native plant sales will benefit the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park Botany Society.
All events will be held at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park Visitor Center and are free of charge, unless otherwise noted.

9:00 am to 4:00 pm - Plant Sale and Traditional Hand-made Crafts from Baja
9:30 am - "Native People, Native Plants" lecture by plant indigenous specialists of Baja
10:30 - "Survival Strategies for Desert Plants" Garden walk led by Mike Bigelow
12:00 pm - "Pretend There Is No Border - A Look at Plant Distributions in the Park and to the South” Lecture by Mitch Beauchamp
2:00 pm - Botany Hike in Borrego Palm Canyon led by Mitch Beauchamp. $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Advance registration required. Contact ABF for details: 760-767-4063
