In 1930 Marshal South and his wife Tanya fled civilization in pursuit of a simple back-to-nature lifestyle. For seventeen years, they lived atop Ghost Mountain and raised three children without the modern conveniences most of us take for granted. Their life in this remote desert place is the subject of a feature-length documentary by filmmaker John McDonald showing in Borrego Springs at 7:30 pm, at the ABDSP Visitor Center followed by Q&A with the filmmaker.
