"Wild & On the Edge" Photo Exhibit

“Wild & On the Edge” is a photography exhibit featuring bighorn sheep by San Marcos resident, Jeff Young.

Young’s photographs will be on display in ABF's State Park Store in Borrego Springs from February 12 – 25, 2010. Framed and unframed photos of various sizes will be for sale throughout the show.

Young regularly photographs the endangered bighorn in the intense heat of summer when sheep activity is high, sometimes waiting for hours to capture the perfect shot. Young’s determination and patience have allowed him to document rarely seen affectionate, playful, and sometimes violent behaviors of sheep. His photos show the typically elusive animals in their desert habitat of rocky canyons, steep slopes and sandy washes within Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California’s largest state park. “Wild & On the Edge” is the first photography exhibit for Young, who is now retired from a career in advertising.

Anza-Borrego Foundation’s State Park Store is located at 587 Palm Canyon Drive, Suite 110, in The Mall in Borrego Springs, California.

Hours are Sunday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Friday, Saturday, and holidays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
