"Wild & On the Edge" Reception

Snack on wine and cheese as you browse the magnificent, “Wild & On the Edge” photography exhibit, featuring bighorn sheep by San Marcos resident, Jeff Young. At the reception you'll have the opportunity to meet Young, who will be on hand to discuss his images of the majestic bighorn.

Framed or unframed photos of various sizes will be for sale, along with other Anza-Borrego Desert State Park related items throughout the store.

Young’s photographs will be on display from February 12 – 25, 2010 at Anza-Borrego Foundation’s State Park Store in Borrego Springs.

The State Park Store is located at 587 Palm Canyon Drive, Suite 110, in The Mall in Borrego Springs, California. Hours are Sunday to Thursday, 10 am to 4 pm; Friday, Saturday, and holidays, 10 am to 5 pm. For more information call 760-767-4063.

Young regularly photographs the endangered bighorn in the intense heat of summer when sheep activity is high, sometimes waiting for hours to capture the perfect shot. Young’s determination and patience have allowed him to document rarely seen affectionate, playful, and sometimes violent behaviors of sheep. “Wild & On the Edge” is the first photography exhibit for Young, who is now retired from a career in advertising.
