If three days of 100-degree temps in the remote desert is what you call a great time…we want YOU! This year is the 40th Anniversary of the Bighorn Sheep Count in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. From July 1 though 4, teams of hardy souls will be stationed at count sites throughout the 650,000-acre Park.
We’d love for you to join us, just please be aware that the sheep count requires “hardcore” volunteers who enjoy backcountry overnights in extreme temperatures. If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity, call (760) 767-5311 and ask for “P.J.” or email Ranger Steve Bier (sbier@parks.ca.gov) to get more information.
Please R.S.V.P. before June 12
