Borrego Valley Hawkwatch

The Borrego Valley Hawkwatch counts more spring Swainson's Hawks than any site in North America.  It is possible to see 500 hawks in one day!  What are they doing here?  Many of them arrive here from thousands of miles away!  Join the hawk-count leaders for another exciting season of observation and exploration of this remarkable phenomenon.

The morning observation site is on DiGiorgio Rd about 2.8 miles north of Palm Canyon Drive. Leaders and observers are at the site every day through April 15, from about 8:30 until 11 am.  

The evening site is located about 1.8 miles north of Palm Canyon Drive on Borrego Valley Rd. Leaders and observers meet about one hour before sundown.
