11/17/2010 - 8:00pm
Location:
Borrego Springs Library Community Room

Join us for an informational program for the general public, as well as those interested in training other volunteers.

The presentation will teach you how to distinguish Sahara Mustard from other similar-looking native plants, the best methods for pulling, and how to dispose of the plants properly. No registration required.

California State Parks’ botanist Larry Hendrickson will lead three informational trainings this month for volunteers interested in helping with the removal of non-native Sahara Mustard.

Volunteers must attend at least one of the scheduled training sessions. Trained volunteers will also be allowed to work elsewhere within the State Park with proper identification.

Field training dates on Henderson Canyon Road:

Friday, November 19, 9 am - 12 pm
Sunday, November 28, 9 am - 12 pm
