Location:
Plum Canyon; Meet at pull-out on Highway 78, 2.7 miles west of Tamarisk Grove

Yes, flowers are still blooming in the desert!  Hank Barber and Mary Ekelund counted 88 flowering species just the other day, and are eager to share them with you!  Apricot mallow, white sage, blooming dudleya, several cacti, and so many others, it just doesn't get much better than this!

Bring Mom out for an early Mother's Day gift, and enjoy the bloom, one of the best around.

Meet at the pull-out for Plum Canyon at 8:20.  This four-mile (roundtrip) hike will start at 8:30 am on Saturday, May 8, and finish by about noon.  Dress for warm weather and bring plenty of water, snacks, sun protection, and sturdy walking shoes.

There is no charge for this hike (though of course we never turn down donations).  We so appreciate the support of our members and constituents throughout the year, and this is one way we can say Thank You.  Come enjoy the desert before temperatures climb too much higher!
