Local wildflower expert Larry Hendrickson will lead this foray into various locales around Borrego Springs where flowers are blooming. Larry really knows his native plants and wildflowers, so you're bound to learn something new!
Be prepared for carpooling, with frequent stops to get out and explore what's blooming. There will be some walking, and time spent getting to know the desert's unique species of wildflowers. An early stop is likely to include a visit with a ranger at the wildflower fields that ABFI recently helped acquire for protection as part of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.
