The Leave No Trace Trainer course is a two-day, one-night “hands-on” course designed to enhance your understanding of LNT practices and ethics. You will also gain the knowledge, tools, and ideas necessary to reach the public with the LNT message in a variety of settings - such as schools, camps, parks, wilderness and front country areas.
Anyone who is involved in the outdoors: volunteers, educators, agency staff, and recreationists alike will benefit from this course.

Upon completion of the course participants will be considered Leave No Trace Trainers at the national level with the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics. Each participant will lead a 15 to 20 minute lesson on one LNT principle. Creativity in your presentation is greatly encouraged.

Overnight accommodations and meals are on your own.

Meet: The class will be held outdoors at ABF’s Camp Borrego site inside Borrego Palm Canyon Campground. Detailed directions will be sent upon registration.

Bring: Notebook, camp chair, reusable water bottle

Overnight accommodations at ABF’s yurt camp are available for an additional fee of $15 per person, per night. Participants share quarters in yurts outfitted with cots. Toilets are onsite and a restroom building with sinks and showers is a short walk. The site does not have electricity.
