ABDSP Interpretive Activities are Free and Open to the Public. All programs meet in front of the ABDSP Visitor Center unless otherwise stated.

9:00 a.m. Hike - Roving Naturalist in Borrego Palm Canyon 3 Hours
Volunteer Naturalist Celeste Doughty will be roaming the Borrego Palm Canyon Trail searching for bighorn sheep and other interesting features along the trail. Look for her as you hike to the palm oasis. This is not a guided hike.

11:00 a.m. Talk – Archaeology in the Park 1 Hour
Join the Colorado Desert Archaeology Society for their monthly lecture held in the Visitor Center Discovery Lab. Open to the public.

3:00 p.m. Walk – Desert Inspiration 1 Hour
Join Regina Reiter, Park Interpretive Specialist, for a sensory exploration of the desert in word and color that will nourish your connection with the rugged beauty of the desert. You’ll be surprised how much keener and richer your desert observations are after this hands-on experience. Meet in front of the Visitor Center for this gentle walk.
