ABDSP Interpretive Activities are Free and Open to the Public. All programs meet in front of the ABDSP Visitor Center unless otherwise stated.

11:00 a.m. Talk - The Amazing World of Bats—Nature’s Tiny Fighter Jets 1 Hour
Though poorly understood and often feared, bats are fascinating animals with incredible skills of flight and nighttime navigation. Join Volunteer Naturalist Don Endicott in the Visitor Center Discovery Lab for an exploration of these amazing fliers.

1:00 p.m. Hike – Culp Valley Wander 3 Hours
Take a walk in one of the favorite areas of Anza-Borrego that features a historic spring, an awesome scenic overlook, and beautiful boulders. Meet Park Interpretive Specialist, Regina Reiter, at the entrance to Culp Valley Campground between Mile Markers 9 and 9.5 on highway S-22. Wear sturdy shoes, long sleeves, and a sun hat. Bring a snack and 2 liters of water. This is a moderate hike.
