DESCRIPTION:\nVenture into the desert after dark for a family-friendly night hike through Coyote Canyon’s Ocotillo Flat! We’ll watch the desert transform after sunset and explore the sights and sounds that make this landscape come alive under the stars.  \n\n\n\nWhat to Expect: \n\n\n\n\nWe’ll begin our adventure at Ocotillo Flats, surrounded by the silhouettes of ocotillo and creosote under the rising moon. We’ll hike roughly 3 miles roundtrip across gentle (though uneven) terrain. \n\n\n\n\n\nAlong the trail, we’ll look for nocturnal creatures that thrive after dark, such as scorpions. \n\n\n\n\n\nThis easy-paced night hike is led by an ABF staff member and certified Wilderness First Responder, ensuring a safe and fun experience for all ages. \n\n\n\n\nWho Should Attend: \n\n\n\n\nFamilies and friends looking for a unique way to enjoy summer in the desert. \n\n\n\n\n\nNature lovers eager to experience the desert at night and learn about its nocturnal life. \n\n\n\n\n\nHikers comfortable with a relatively easy 3-mile walk on sandy, uneven terrain. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nREGISTER TODAY! They have been involved in humanitarian efforts through Border Kindness since 2018, reflecting their passion for the outdoors, advocacy, language, and cultural studies. Their love for the environment began at an early age, growing once she moved to the San Fernando Valley, where she identified her love for the mountains and hiking and camping.
