ABDSP INTERPRETIVE ACTIVITIES

ABDSP Interpretive Activities are Free and Open to the Public. All programs meet in front of the ABDSP Visitor Center unless otherwise stated.

 

Moon Features Come Alive
Where: Visitor Center Discovery Lab
When: 6:45 p.m. (1 hour)
Have you wondered what the “Man in the Moon” really is? Join Park Interpretive Specialist Regina Reiter for this interactive program to discern the features of the Moon and see a demonstration of the Moon phases.  Stay to watch the full moon rise from the Visitor Center Roof.

 

The Moon Rises
Where: Visitor Center Roof
When: 7:45 p.m.
Watch the full moon rise from the Visitor Center Roof. Regina Reiter, Park Interpretive Specialist, will have binoculars and telescope to help you pick out the features of the moon you learned about in the previous hour. Even if it’s cloudy, the moon rising over the Santa Rosa Mountains is spectacular!
