ABDSP Interpretive Activities
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park® Interpretive Activities are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted. Events meet at the ABDSP Visitor Center unless otherwise noted. Be aware that there is a $10 Day Use Fee at the Visitor Center.
9:00 a.m. Walk – Keen Observing on Borrego Palm Canyon Trail 2.5 Hours
Walk with Park Interpreter Regina Reiter on our most popular trail using her favorite techniques of observation to notice keenly, remember what you observe, and develop questions for deeper exploration. Meet at the Borrego Palm Canyon Trailhead. Sun protection and 2 liters of water are required by all participants. Limited to those who have signed up in advance at the Visitor Center or by phone at 760-767-4205
1:00 p.m. Walk – Those Amazing Cacti! 45 Minutes
Explore the Visitor Center garden with Park Interpreter Sally Theriault and discover the unique strategies that help cacti survive here. Meet in front of the Visitor Center for this gentle walk.
