ABDSP Interpretive Activities are free and open to the public. Events meet at the ABDSP Visitor Center unless otherwise noted. Be aware that there is a $10 Day Use Fee at the Visitor Center Friday, January 4, 2019

Join Park Interpretive Specialist Regina Reiter to explore Nature journaling. We’ll explore the desert using very basic techniques of writing, drawing, and painting to help us see, remember, and investigate vibrantly.  No artistic ability required! Bring your own journal or use ours. Be prepared with water and sunhat. Meet in front of the Visitor Center.

Come stroll down the aisles of Desert-Mart with Certified Interpretive Guide Abby Barker to discover how the ingenious Native Americans used desert plants for their food, clothing, shelter, and medicine.  Focus is on the three most important plants: Agave, Creosote, and Mesquite. Meet in the Discovery Lab for this Powerpoint program.
