ABDSP Interpretive Activities
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park® Interpretive Activities are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted. Events meet at the ABDSP Visitor Center unless otherwise noted. Be aware that there is a $10 Day Use Fee at the Visitor Center.
2:00 p.m. Junior Ranger Family Adventure – Buttes Pass Slot Canyon 1.5 Hours
Join Park Interpretive Specialist Regina Reiter for a fun family hike in the Slot. Meet at the parking area for the Slot on Buttes Pass Road which is 1.4 miles east of Borrego Springs Road on Highway 78. Children ages 7-12 will earn their Junior Ranger badge. Hats and water are required. Limited to families who have signed up by 1 p.m. today at the Visitor Center or by calling 760-767-4205.
7:00 p.m. Walk – Let’s Be Crepuscular 1 Hour
You probably know “Nocturnal”, maybe “Diurnal”. Walk with Regina Reiter, Park Interpretive Specialist for an easy walk at dusk to explore the fascinating and surprisingly active hour between the day and night. Meet at the Borrego Palm Canyon trailhead which is past the campground.
