Sentenac Cienega Restoration Webinar
March 11 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm PST
Did you know? Sentenac Cienega is one of two vital wetlands in Anza Borrego, home to many unique and diverse species. California State Parks and Anza-Borrego Foundation invite you to join us for our free Sentenac Cienega Restoration Presentation on March 11th at 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM via Zoom.
California State Parks, Colorado Desert District (CDD) is working to develop a wetland restoration strategy for the Sentenac Cienega wetlands in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park located at Scissors Crossing, where San Felipe Rd, the Pacific Crest Trail and Highway 78 meet. Researchers from UC Irvine, University of San Diego and State Parks will introduce their studies which focus on hydrogeology, vegetation, birds, amphibians, and aquatic invertebrate species. These baseline studies will inform us on the current health of the wetland and guide the restoration strategy. Thank you and we hope to see you there!
