If you enjoy spending time outdoors, then you’ll love Anza-Borrego Foundation. ABF is proud to bring outdoor experiences to underprivileged youth through its Camp Borrego program, funded entirely by donations and grants, and it’s responsible for maintaining and preserving the natural beauty of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and educating today’s youth with the goal of natural preservation.

However, one of the most prolific acts of philanthropy ABF has been privileged to receive is a scholarship created in honor of Carl Ellsworth and Patricia Mary Miller. Both were nature lovers and passionate about sharing their love for Anza-Borrego Desert State Park with others. The scholarship, worth $10,000 annually, will help send underprivileged youth to Camp Borrego so that they can have the same amazing experience as others and garner a love and appreciation for nature, just as they had.

At ABF, we believe this scholarship will be an important legacy that will perpetuate the memory and kindness of Carl Ellsworth and Patricial Mary Miller for many years to come.

If you’re interested in contributing to the scholarship fund, please contact Bri Fordem at bri@theabf.org. Your support will help ensure that more young people have the opportunity to experience all that Anza-Borrego has to offer. Thank you for your consideration!
