Join scientists and fellow nature lovers for an exciting, hands-on weekend exploring the incredible biodiversity of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. In collaboration with the Global City Nature Challenge, this collaborative BioBlitz brings together the community and experts to survey, document, and celebrate the living organisms that make this desert so extraordinary.

This is a two-day event – you can join at different times and for either or both days!
Friday, April 24, 2026: 5 p.m.–10:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 25, 2026: Hikes beginning at 6:00 a.m. through 8:00–12:00 p.m.
Location:
We’ll meet each day at the UCI Steele/Burnand Anza-Borrego Desert Research Center (401 Tilting T Dr., Borrego Springs, CA 92004). From there, we’ll carpool/caravan to our field survey sites
