Desert Riparian Ecosystems in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park
Join us for an engaging discussion about the remarkable riparian ecosystems of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, their role in desert ecology, and the ongoing efforts to preserve these precious water-dependent environments. Riparian ecosystems, the vital areas where water meets land, are essential to the survival of numerous species, especially in arid regions like the Anza-Borrego Desert. In this lecture, we will explore the unique characteristics of desert riparian systems and their significance in the broader desert landscape.
Key topics will include:
- What Are Riparian Systems?
- Riparian Systems in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park
- Why Are Riparian Systems Important?
- Wildlife You’ll Find and How They Utilize Riparian Systems
- Threats and Stressors to Riparian Systems
- Park Management
