Description:
Calling all early birds! Join us for a chance to photograph Anza-Borrego during one of its most active and magical times: sunrise. Award-winning photographer, Paulette Donnellon, will share her professional tips for capturing the personalities of animals, the intricate details of plants and the stunning landscapes of the desert. She’ll discuss the timing of certain events, including the Golden Hour and the Blue Hour, and participants will practice creating perfect compositions and cropping photos. Paulette will also talk about safety when venturing out in the desert and how best to photograph the desert’s uniqueness while respecting its creatures.
We’ll meet bright and early at 5:00 a.m. to carpool and/or caravan to our field site (Plum Canyon) in time for the sunrise. After the field trip, we’ll end the workshop back at the ABF office for a provided Lunch and Learn where Paulette will summarize the lessons of the day and educate attendees on how to process the day’s photographs using various software.
