Have you ever wanted to experience the adventure or peace of visiting Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, but didn’t know where to start or don’t have the right vehicle? Or perhaps you’ve seen the beauty that Anza-Borrego has to offer but would like to experience it with an expert who can talk to you about the plants and animals, geology and paleontology, or native American history as you walk along your favorite wash.
Desert Naturalist Tours can do this for you! Expert Naturalists from Anza-Borrego Foundation will take you into the State Park to experience new hikes, drives, or simply new perspectives. Tours can be customized by date, group size, location, and topics of interest, and we can even provide a 4 Wheel Drive vehicle needed to get out to more remote locations. Let us curate an unforgettable experience in Anza-Borrego for you and your loved ones.

All activities are subject to staffing and availability. Thank you for your flexibility!
We offer tours by the half day (3-4 hours), the full day (5-8 hours), or multiple days.
Half day (3-4 hours): $400 for the first four people + $100 per person for each additional person
Full day (5-8 hours): $600 for the first four people + $100 per person for each additional person
Multi-day tours available – we just multiply the number of days times the day rate.
You can bring your own food, or food can be provided at an additional cost of $25/person/meal.
Daytime outings typically begin at 7 or 8 am (a magic time of day in the desert).
Evening outings typically begin one to two hours before sunset.

You are responsible for your own accommodations and can provide you with a list of hotels and campsites in or near Borrego Springs.
